ADMISSION CRITERIA

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE

1. Client must be between the ages of 12 - 24
2. Client must be diagnosed as having a substance abuse or chemical dependency problem.

CRITERIA FOR NON-ACCEPTANCE AND REFERRAL

1. Client is actively suicidal/homicidal.
2. Client is actively psychotic.

OTHER ISSUES THAT CAN POTENTIALLY COINCIDE WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE/CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY WHICH ARE COMMONLY ADDRESSED AT SUNDOWN RANCH

1. Academic Difficulties
2. Communication
3. Lack of respect for others
4. Running away
5. Lying
6. Rejection of Rules or Authority
7. Lack of emotional bonding
8. Low self-esteem
9. Difficulties in regulation of mood
10. Poor decision making
11. Inappropriate peer relationships
12. Disruption of Healthy Family Functioning
